Terms of service

These terms govern access to and use of the CryptickData market data service. Last updated 14 October 2026.

1. Who we are

The service is operated by [Company legal name], a [Legal form] registered at [Registered address] under number [Registration number] ("CryptickData", "we"). Founders: Theo Linder and Lily La Morella. Contact: access@cryptickdata.com.

2. The service

CryptickData provides read-only crypto market data: trades and order books captured from third-party exchanges, aggregated per price level into five data types (volume, trade count, book, time-weighted average book, churn), and merged across venues on request. Recording started on 12 October 2026.

The data is delivered through a REST API (history), a WebSocket API (live), the web terminal at app.cryptickdata.com and the documentation at doc.cryptickdata.com (together, the "Service").

CryptickData does not execute orders, hold funds, custody assets or give investment advice. The Service never touches your trading.

3. Professional use only

The Service is intended for funds, trading firms and other professional users building and researching systematic strategies. By using it you confirm that you act in the course of your business or profession, and not as a consumer.

4. Accounts and API keys

A paid account comes with login credentials and the ability to issue API keys. Credentials and API keys are confidential. You are responsible for keeping them secret, for every request made with them, and for telling us at once if you believe they have been compromised. We may revoke a key or session that we reasonably believe has been exposed.

Each account carries its own entitlements (markets, exchanges, intervals, data types, history window), connection quotas and rate limits, as agreed with you.

5. Licence

For the term of your subscription we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the data and use it for your own internal research and strategy development, including trading systems you operate for your own account or for the funds you manage. The licence covers every team, desk and user of the legal entity that subscribes.

You may not:

  • redistribute, publish, sell, sublicense or otherwise make available the raw data or any dataset derived from it, in whole or in part, to a third party;
  • use the data to build, train or operate a market data product or service that competes with the Service;
  • share an account or API key between separate legal entities;
  • circumvent entitlements, quotas or rate limits.

Internal results such as backtests, signals, models and reports that do not reproduce the data itself are yours.

6. Guest access

Part of the Service is available without an account as a shared guest access with limited markets and history. Guest access is provided as is, for evaluation, with no commitment of any kind. We may change, restrict or withdraw it at any time without notice. Sections 5, 8, 9, 10 and 13 apply to guest users.

7. Fees, billing and cancellation

Standard subscription. USD 5,000 per month, billed monthly in advance. One subscription covers your whole company. The subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. Either party may cancel at any time by email, with effect at the end of the current billing month. Fees already paid are not refunded.

Founding partner programme. Limited to 10 places. It starts with a two-month free trial with no commitment. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription then continues at USD 2,500 per month, fixed for 24 months from the end of the trial. You may cancel at any time during those 24 months; the fixed price is a ceiling, not a commitment. After those 24 months it continues at the standard price unless either party cancels or we agree other terms in writing.

Prices exclude taxes. Invoices are payable within 30 days. We may suspend access for invoices more than 15 days overdue after notice. We may change the standard price with at least 60 days' written notice; a change does not affect a fixed-price period already agreed.

8. Fair use

Your account is subject to the connection quotas and rate limits attached to it. Requests over the limit are refused. Sustained attempts to exceed limits, automated scraping of the terminal, or any use that degrades the Service for others may lead to throttling or suspension under section 12.

9. Third-party exchange data

The data originates from exchanges we do not control, currently Aster, Binance, BingX, Bitfinex, Bitget, Bitstamp, BTCC, Bybit, Coinbase, Coincall, CoinW, Crypto.com, Deepcoin, Deribit, Gate, HTX, Hyperliquid, Kraken, KuCoin, LBank, MEXC, OKX, Ourbit, Pionex, Toobit, Upbit and XT. An exchange may change its feeds, disconnect, report incorrect values or withdraw access at any time.

The data may therefore contain gaps, errors, duplicates or delays. It is provided as is, without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose. We may add or remove exchanges, markets and data types as sources change.

10. No investment advice

Nothing in the Service is investment advice, a recommendation, an offer or a solicitation. We do not execute orders and have no knowledge of or involvement in your trading. You alone decide how to use the data, and you alone are responsible for your trading decisions and their outcomes.

11. Availability

We aim to keep the Service running continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. There is no service level agreement unless one is agreed with you in writing. We may perform maintenance, and will try to give notice of planned interruptions.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where practicable, if you breach these terms, if an invoice remains unpaid, if your use threatens the security or integrity of the Service, or if a source exchange or applicable law requires it. On termination for any reason your licence ends, your API keys stop working, and you must stop using the data, except for internal results already derived under section 5. Sections 5, 9, 10, 14, 15 and 18 survive termination.

13. Intellectual property

The Service, the aggregation methods, the data formats, the terminal, the documentation and the compiled datasets are owned by CryptickData or its licensors. The source exchanges retain their rights in the underlying market data. These terms grant you the licence in section 5 and nothing more.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss, however caused;
  • we are not liable for any loss arising from errors, gaps or delays in exchange data, or from unavailability of the Service;
  • our total liability to you for all claims in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud or wilful misconduct.

15. Confidentiality

Each party keeps the other's non-public information confidential and uses it only for the purposes of this agreement. For us this includes your identity as a client, your entitlements and your usage patterns. For you this includes pricing, non-public documentation and any information about the Service not published on our website. This obligation lasts for three years after termination and does not apply to information that is public, already known, independently developed, or required to be disclosed by law.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will email account holders at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. If you do not accept a change you may cancel before it takes effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance. The current version is always available on this page.

17. General

These terms, together with any written order or founding partner agreement, are the entire agreement between us. If a term is held unenforceable the rest remains in force. Neither party may assign this agreement without the other's consent, except to a successor of its business. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events outside its reasonable control.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law and courts], and the courts of [Governing law and courts] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
